Marc’s Exhibition
A yearly returning event during the Maastricht concerts is Marc Rieu’s (André’s oldest son) exhibition of paintings. The paintings can be seen in the central hall of the Vrijthof theatre. The exhibition is open on July 5th - July 7th and on July 12th - July 14th from 12:00 to 17:00 PM. Please watch the video below for an impression of this exhibition.

Jermaine Jackson.
The special guest for the third weekend was Jermaine Jackson, yes, the brother of…
He sang a very emotional and touching song: "Smile" by Charlie Chaplin.
Jermaine sang this song at the funeral service of his brother Michael.
During the encores, he performed his greatest hit "When the rain begins to fall".
But luckily the weather was almost subtropical in Maastricht.
We are not very happy with the quality of this video, but it is all we can offer you.

Fan Dinner and Fan Picnic
Two yearly occurring events: on Friday July 5th, we had the Fan Dinner on our floating restaurant (river cruiser). This year we had 122 participants from 15 different nationalities. On Saturday July 6th, around 60 people visited the Fan Picnic in the Maastricht City Park.

Jermaine stayed with his wife and two sons at the Derlon Hotel and wrote this message. Recently newspapers announced that he officially changed his name to "Jacksun", but here he clearly signs as "Jacksen". It is said that the change was "for artistic reasons". Notice the two happy faces inside the two J's. And do I see a "5" underneath??

Two André's waltzing…. A hilarious video.
Thanks to Suely Kawana, who brought this YouTube video to our attention. It's a hilarious video of "Amigos para Siempre" with the two André's waltzing together. It spontaneously happened in one concert only: on Sunday July 7th 2013. Thanks to Martine's husband Jean-Louis Calvinhac and to John, for providing us the pictures.
